It’s important to create something that’s engaging and memorable.
“I’ve been lucky to be able to do my job in front of an audience of hundreds, even thousands, of people,” said Ryan M. Kuczner, a software developer and executive recruiter at The Wall St. Journal.
“That’s a huge advantage to my resume.

Avoid generic names.
Executives want to be identified as being “in the tech field,” which can be challenging.
So avoid generic names like “engineer,” “programmer,” “engine,” and “software engineer.”3.
Use a business name.
You’ll be much more likely to get noticed if you use a business title, such as “Director of Engineering,” “Program Manager,” “Marketing Manager,” or “Project Manager.”
You can even use a company name, such the “Microsoft” or “Apple” for the business.4.

Mazzarella, an associate professor of executive marketing at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
“If you’re the only person who is interested in the job, then you might not get the support,” Mazzarella said.
“If you have a large group of colleagues, then they’ll support you more.”7.
Check your resume at the company.
If the company is using a website that includes executive resumes that are not on its own website, make it clear that the company doesn’t hire you directly.

“I would not recommend that people put in an executive resume until they have looked at it, reviewed it and found out if there is any problem,” Mitzner said.
